What Is This World Coming To?

I took Bi-Bi out to breakfast on Saturday morning. We were enjoying our food when I happened to look over and see a younger lady at a table diagonal from us. She was dressed in pajama pants, socks, house slippers, t-shirt, fleece jacket, and a do-rag on her head. None of these items matched even remotely! I just started to wonder what has happened that this is acceptable attire to go out in public. I can not believe it. I see more and more people at the grocery store and at Wal-Mart in their pajamas. Have we all lost respect for ourselves to the degree we don't even care that the entire area sees us in our pj's? Now, I am guilty of wearing lounge pants and a t-shirt to take Bi-Bi to school. But I do not have to leave the car or see or talk to anyone. What about you guys? Do you wear the pj's while tooling around town in the daytime?

Uh, there is NO way I'm going out in my pjs! I don't like to see people in the jammies either. That's just wrong! LOL! People really need to take more pride in themselves when it comes to this sort of thing. You don't have to make yourself look like a barbie but come on people! Don't wear your jammies in public!

I have had my PJ's on when I take the kids to school. That is only when the miss the bus and I have not had time to get ready for the day.

Other than that I always am dressed and have make-up on when I leave the house. I was raised in the South and you "nevah left the house without your face on!!" :-)

I just got home from walmart in my teddie. What's the prob? I forgot shoes, but it worked out okay... hot pavement just makes a black protective coating on the bottom of my feet...
JUST KIDDING!
I'm with you, I wear the pjs to drop the kids off and would NEVER get out of the car. I always wondered what I would do if I had to... YIKES.

Ummm, NO! When I was still taking kids to school, once in a blue moon I might have pj pants on but I never, ever got out of the car..and I would have sunglasses on if I had no makeup on!
The last night we were in Vegas, the girls and I saw a girl in a restaurant in an outfit we couldn't quite fathom or would expect to see out. Have wanted to blog about it but the picture is on my cell phone and I need Stacy to get it off for me! Yes, we were bad and took her picture (discreetly I believe!)

First, I am constantly apalled at what some people wear out in public. Even my husband a few weeks ago, saw a teenage girl in Walmart and was outraged by what little she had on.

That said, I don't wear pj's or anything similar out in public. Not even to get the newspaper :) I don't have kids though, but I might be tempted to jump in the car to drop them off in pj's. Not Walmart or the bank though!

You're so right...wearing PJs out is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Hugs!

I don't think I've ever gone out in public in PJ's. I take the kids to school on the way to work so I'm always dressed. I think they are trying to mimic the "celebs" who think trashy is best. Blah. Oh...my mom did take us to school once in her nightgown and winter coat, with no intention of getting out of the car, of course. BUT, she ended up running out of gas. We lived in a very small town, so she told us to walk the rest of the way to school and she just sat in the car and waited until my dad drove by. ha!

Not typically, but I'm used to seeing it since we live so close to the college here.
